receive professional Garde Manger instruction,
then show off their skills in a competitive public event!
Winners get bragging rights -
and money for their school's culinary department!

Teaching has been at the heart of
ephemeral art exhibitions and competitions since the beginning!
Sand In The City® events began with
the art and science of sand sculpture training
of 15+ teams of local business employees.
They received hands-on training and coaching,
then competed with other local teams.
Our sculptors were always surprised by how great these sculptures turned out...but it was by design!
